This is used to be the spot to park with a short walk to enjoy the river beach. The only problem is that it has become trashed out over the years. It's horrific how much trash is throw out during the summer months by patrons. It's the lack of respect for nature like this that ruins the ability to use free access areas. I hope that people start to realize what a jewel the rapp river is and start treating it appropriately.
Nice park. Waded in river.
Kinda pleasant, kinda gross. Right next to the rout 1 bridge. I like wading in the water, but sometimes wish I had water shoes. It's still a river after all. The rocky sand is well enough near the water, but up the hill and it's strange sand like dirt that they've stirred up for some unpleasant reason. Troublesome and tiring to walk on, so I liked it better when there was just regular ground. Over all I still like spending time here, don't think of it like a beach. It's just enjoyable and fun water :)
A few picnic tables and easy access to the river. Not accessible via wheelchair (or strollers). No public restrooms.
This place is amazing to swimming
